We hope everyone had a wonderful year and is looking forward to some well deserved time off. As we head into Summer the Athletic Department would like update you on the tryout/start dates for the 2023 Fall Sports Season (see link below). Please note that the majority of the start dates are prior to the first day of school so be sure to mark the dates on your calendars and plan accordingly. We will communicate the exact time and location of all tryouts /start dates in late June / early July. Summer is here…Student-Athletes be sure to take this time to continue to work and grow as an athlete and join Coach Garrish for his summer training program. Below we have listed the general schedule for the summer. Sessions will begin on Monday, June 5th. Any student-athlete who is interested in participating in the summer program MUST complete the Google From listed below. You will receive an email from Ms. Mel once the Google Form is completed if you have any missing or expired forms.

Wednesday, May 10th was a special day for the NBPS Athletic Department and the NBPS Community. We had the opportunity to recognize and congratulate 15 senior student-athletes for all that they have accomplished over the past 4 years. Their hard work and dedication both on the field and in the classroom has allowed them to continue their playing careers at the collegiate/university level. We wish all 15 of them the best of luck and we know they will continue to make us proud in the years to come!p.

3 Regional Champions, 2 Runner-Up & Two 3rd Place Finishes

Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Varsity Track & Field Teams for their outstanding performances at the 2023 FHSAA Regional Meet! The Eagles competed amongst the top athletes in South Florida finishing the day with 6 student-athletes clinching a spot in the 2023 FHSAA State Meet scheduled for Thursday, May 18th at the University of North Florida.

A HUGE congratulations to our Regional Champions Michael McGrath, Ella Munoz and Alexa Schwartz. Michael earned his Regional title in the Javelin while also finishing as Regional Runner-Up in the Discus. Ella led the way in jumps taking home the Regional Title in the Triple Jump and finishing as Regional Runner-Up in the Long Jump. Alexa dominated the field earning her Regional Title in the Javelin.

Marcus Dixon and Jayden Smith earned their spot in the State Meet by taking home 3rd Place medals in each of their events. Marcus in the triple jump and Jayden in the High Jump and Damisi earned an at large bid in the 100m posting a 10.99 and finishing in 6th place.

Once again congratulations to all 6 of these student-athletes and good luck at States….let’s bring home some more hardware!

Congratulations to the NBP Varsity Baseball Team…2023 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! The Eagles hosted Coral Springs Charter School this past Thursday for the District Final. The Eagles found themselves down a few times throughout the game. The team found a way to keep fighting, ultimately earning the victory and the Title over the Panthers 4-3 on a walk-off single by TJ Gramesty in the 8th inning. The Eagles will now host the Regional Quarterfinal on Tuesday, May 9 at 6:30pm. Good luck Eagles!!
