Winter Sports Post Season Has Begun..Don’t Miss it!
The Boys Soccer Team kicks off their Regional Tournament this week, Girls Basketball hosts the District Tournament and the Boys Basketball Team plays their final game (Senior Night) of the regular season in preparation for next week’s District Tournament here at NB. Regional Quarterfinal @ American Heritage Delray – Wed, Feb. 7th – 7:00pm

GIRLS BASKETBALL:
District Semifinal (HOME) vs. CS Charter – Wed, Feb. 7th – 5:30pm
When we win Wed…District Final (HOME) vs. TBA – Fri, Feb. 9th – 7:00pm

FHSAA Cross Country Academic State Champions

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Cross Country Team!! Not only did the boys have a successful season of running they also excelled in the classroom earning the title of FHSAA Class 2A Cross Country Academic State Champions. The team earned this title by carrying overall unweighted GPA of 3.934. We are very proud of the seven members of the 2017 Boys Cross Country Team. All season long they have found a way to balance both academics and athletics proving that hard work pays off! These boys are a perfect example of how you can excel not only out on the field but in the classroom as well. Keep up the great work!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: BOYS V BASKETBALL

While most of us enjoyed some rest over the Winter Break our Boys Varsity Basketball Team was in full swing. The Eagles spent the beginning part of the break preparing for the 2018 Rock Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament that was hosted here at NB on January 4th, 5th & 6th. It looks like the hard work paid off…The Varsity Eagles had three different dominating performances. The team started the tournament off with a win over Loyola School of NY earning a spot in the tournament semifinals. They didn’t stop there…the Eagles defeated Monsignor Pace (100-65) moving the Eagles on to the championship game vs. a talented Spanish River HS team. The boys battled the entire game ultimately coming out on top with a 61-58 win clinching the 2018 Rock Holiday Classic (Silver Bracket) Title. Congratulations to the Eagles on an outstanding tournament. The team will now turn their focus to this week’s important district games. The Eagles travel to American Heritage Delray today for a 7:00pm game followed by a home game on Thursday vs. St. Andrews School at 7:00pm. Good Luck…let’s keep it going!!

TEAM OF THE WEEK — BOYS JV SOCCER

The Boys Junior Varsity Soccer Team not only had a successful week in their final three games of the season, the Eagles had an outstanding season. The JV Boys season ended with a 7-0-3 record. The Eagles clinched their undefeated season this week with a tie vs. Archbishop McCarthy followed by a win over CS Charter and University School. The boys have battled all season long working together as a team proving that hard work pays off. Not a bad way to finish the season…great work boys!

THE GLOBAL GAMES 2017

North Broward Prep took over 120 middle school student-athletes to compete in The Global Games of 2017. This was a great event that promoted school spirit, sportsmanship and friendly competition versus our sister schools. We are very proud to say that our students from NBP represented our school community in a positive manner on and off the playing fields.

Although we did not come home with the Overall Cup, NBPS did finish in 2nd Place out of the 13 schools in attendance. Overall it is safe to say that the students had a great experience that they will always remember and we did bring some hardware home.
