TEAM OF THE WEEK: BOYS MS BASEBALL
The Middle School Baseball Team had not only a great week but they have had an outstanding season thus far. The MS Eagles are currently 6-0 in league play and have an overall record of 6-2. Last night the team traveled to Westminster Academy coming home with a win. The boys have two more important games this week which will determine if they secure a spot in the 2018 Gold Coast Baseball Championship. Tomorrow they host St. Joan of Arc at 3:30pm and on Thursday the team will travel to Patch Reef Park to take on Spanish River Christian. Good Luck to the MS Eagles…let’s keep the winning going!

All Student-Athletes that were a member of a Freshmen, Junior Varsity or Varsity Team for the 2017-2018 school year needs to save the date of May 6th. The 2018 NBPSPY’s will take place on Sunday, May 6th at 12:00pm at the Heron Bay Marriott in Parkland. Be on the look out for more information about purchasing tickets and RSVPing next week!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: GIRLS VARSITY LACROSSE
The Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team not only had a great week, the Lady Eagles have had an outstanding start to their season. The girls currently have an overall record of 6-2 and are undefeated in district play. The two games lost were both determined by 1 goal with one of them ending in double overtime. After defeating district opponents Coral Springs HS and Coral Springs Charter this past week the team is on a roll, proving that they are a district title contender. The Lady Eagles use the remainder of this week to continue to prepare for the final leg of their season. They will travel to Taravella HS next Tuesday followed by an important district match-up on Thursday vs. Douglas HS. Keep up the great work ladies!!

TEAM OF THE WEEK: BOYS 7/8 GR. BASKETBALL
The 2017-18 Boys 7th/8th Grade Basketball A-Team not only earned a 2018 Gold Coast League Championship Title…the boys made school history! This is the first League Championship Title earned by any of our Middle School Athletic Programs. The MS Eagles definitely earned the title finishing the season with an undefeated record. The team entered the final four tournament as the #1 seed and finished the tournament on top! We are very proud of the boys and are excited to see what these Middle School Eagles as well as our NBPS Boys Basketball Program have in store for the future!

NBPS Basketball Gives Back to the Community!
In an inaugural event this season, both the NB Girl’s and Boy’s Varsity Basketball Teams participated in the Coaches vs Cancer 3-Point Challenge. The 3-Point Challenge is a national program that unites high school and college basketball teams toward a common goal – ending cancer. Teams compete throughout the month of January to gather pledges for each 3-pointer made, and all funds raised go directly to the American Cancer Society. This year, the North Broward Basketball program finished in the top 20 of high schools across the country! The teams hosted a culminating event, our Gold-Out Game, on January 25th where all proceeds from gold t-shirt sales, gate, and the concession stand were donated to our 3-Point Challenge campaign. Thank you to every player, parent, friend and community member who donated!
