Congratulations to the NBP Varsity Baseball Team for earning a spot in the 2018 FHSAA Regional Baseball Final! The Eagles have been patiently waiting for the bad weather to take a break so they could take the field against Lincoln Park Academy in Ft. Pierce. Mother Nature finally cooperated with them on Friday morning. The Eagles started off strong scoring a run in the 1st. They continued to battle all seven innings finally earning the victory over the Greyhounds 2-1. The boys will take the field again tonight at 7:00pm for the Regional Final Game against Miami Pace. Be sure to come out to the field to cheer on the boys as they look to earn a Regional Title and clinch a spot to move on the the 2018 FHSAA State Tournament…GO EAGLES!!

Strength & Conditioning sessions with Coach Garrish

Beginning on Monday, June 11th and running throughout the summer, Coach John Garrish (Strength & Conditioning Coordinator) will be holding workout sessions for all NBPS Student-Athletes. All workouts will take place in the GWC Weight Room as well as on the Turf Field. We encourage all of our athletes to take advantage of these off-season workouts. “The Best in NBP Middle School Sports”

On Wednesday, May 16th the NB-ABC along with the Athletic Department took the afternoon to celebrate our Middle School Student-Athletes for the 2017-2018 school year. This year’s event kicked off with a Color Wars Event with 8 teams battling against each other in obstacle courses, relay races and a few other competitive activities. The afternoon of competition was capped off with a Tug-O-War Tournament to help teams earn bonus points. It was an exciting atmosphere and impressive to watch our student-athletes challenge each other throughout the event.

The afternoon concluded with the Awards Ceremony, which gave the Athletic Department and Coaches a chance to recognize the teams and individual athletes for their hard work throughout the year. Special congratulations to our Boys 7th/8th Grade Basketball Team and our Baseball Team for being named our Teams of the Year. Both of these teams earned this award by winning Gold Coast League Championship Titles…our first two titles in school history. The afternoon of Celebration was a great success and we would like to thank everyone who joined us in celebrating our wonderful middle school student-athletes and what they have accomplished. We cannot wait to see what our young Eagles and Lady Eagles have in store for us in the future! Below is a full list of the all Special Awards won at this year’s event.

VARSITY BASEBALL – 2018 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the NBP Varsity Baseball Team – 2018 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! The Eagles defeated Somerset Academy, Cardinal Gibbons and Pompano Beach High to win the Class 5A District 14 Tournament last week. The Eagles not only won the title but they also clinched a spot in the Regional Tournament. They host Labelle High School tonight (Tuesday, May 8th) at 7:00 here at NBP in the Regional Quarterfinals. TEAM OF THE WEEK: BOYS MS BASEBALL
The Boys Middle School Baseball Team ended their season this past Wednesday with a win…but this wasn’t just any win, it was one that earned them the 2018 Gold Coast League Championship Title. The MS Eagles had an outstanding season and capped it off by defeating Spanish River Christian 7-3 in the Championship Game. The team finished their season undefeated in league play and with an overall record of 8-2. We are very proud of the boys and are excited to see what these Middle School Eagles have in store for the future!
