3 Regional Champions, 2 Runner-Up & Two 3rd Place Finishes

Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Varsity Track & Field Teams for their outstanding performances at the 2023 FHSAA Regional Meet! The Eagles competed amongst the top athletes in South Florida finishing the day with 6 student-athletes clinching a spot in the 2023 FHSAA State Meet scheduled for Thursday, May 18th at the University of North Florida.

A HUGE congratulations to our Regional Champions Michael McGrath, Ella Munoz and Alexa Schwartz. Michael earned his Regional title in the Javelin while also finishing as Regional Runner-Up in the Discus. Ella led the way in jumps taking home the Regional Title in the Triple Jump and finishing as Regional Runner-Up in the Long Jump. Alexa dominated the field earning her Regional Title in the Javelin.

Marcus Dixon and Jayden Smith earned their spot in the State Meet by taking home 3rd Place medals in each of their events. Marcus in the triple jump and Jayden in the High Jump and Damisi earned an at large bid in the 100m posting a 10.99 and finishing in 6th place.

Once again congratulations to all 6 of these student-athletes and good luck at States….let’s bring home some more hardware!

Congratulations to the NBP Varsity Baseball Team…2023 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! The Eagles hosted Coral Springs Charter School this past Thursday for the District Final. The Eagles found themselves down a few times throughout the game. The team found a way to keep fighting, ultimately earning the victory and the Title over the Panthers 4-3 on a walk-off single by TJ Gramesty in the 8th inning. The Eagles will now host the Regional Quarterfinal on Tuesday, May 9 at 6:30pm. Good luck Eagles!!

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Track & Field Team – 2023 DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! On Saturday, April 22nd the Girls and Boys Varsity Track & Field Teams competed amongst some of the top athletes in South Florida and came home with a Boys District Title, a Girls District Runner-Up Title, as well as many individual honors. The Boys put together an overall team effort winning the field by 55.5 points and now hold the title of Back to Back Champs! The Girls Team fought till the final event coming within ONE point of winning the schools first title in school history. Congratulations to both teams on such a successful day!

A special shout out to our Individual District Champions Michael McGrath (Discus), Ella Munoz (Triple Jump), Tate Rowland (110m Hurdles & 400m Hurdles), and Nina Sanguino (Long Jump). These four athletes, along with 23 others (see full list below), earned themselves a spot in the 2023 FHSAA Regional Meet scheduled for Wednesday, May 3 at Calvary Christian. Good luck to all of our Eagle Athletes…let’s bring home some more hardware!

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Tennis Team for an overall successful season! The Eagles finished a very tough regular season schedule off with a 11-6 record. The Eagles battled through the entire District Tournament with all players and both doubles pairs making it to the finals. Unfortunately, the team fell just short, finishing as District Runner-Up but they still clinched a spot in the 2023 FHSAA Regional Semifinals. The team should be very proud of their success and for finishing as Regional Semifinalists in one of the toughest Regions in the State.

Congratulations to the NBP Ice Hockey Team for an overall outstanding season! The Eagles just returned from Minneapolis, MN where they competed in the 2023 USA Hockey National Tournament. The Eagles started the tournament off strong going 2-1 in pool play with big wins over Damien, CA and Brighton,UT, finishing as the #2 seed in their division. This matched them up against a tough St. Anthony’s Team from NY in the tournament Quarterfinals. The Eagles battled back and forth with the Friars all game long which finished in a 4-4 tie after regulation forcing the game to go to a golden goal overtime period. Unfortunately, the Eagles fell short in OT. Even though we know they wanted to bring home the trophy the Eagles should be very proud of not only their showing at the National Tournament but the success of their overall season. Finishing as the FPSHL Champions, the 2023 SAHOF State Champions and earning a bid to the USA Hockey National Tournament is without a doubt a season to be proud of! Great work Eagles!!
