They look to continue their success this week when they travel to Cleveland, OH on Wednesday for the 2019 Chipotle-USA Hockey High School Division I National Championship. Congratulations to the Varsity Ice Hockey Team - 2019 SAHOF State Champions!
The NBP Varsity Ice Hockey Team carried their momentum from their 2019 FPSHL Championship into this year’s SAHOF State Tournament. The Eagles were lucky to have the tournament held at their home rink, the Panther Ice Den, and they did not disappoint in front of their home crowd. The boys battled the entire 3 day tournament going undefeated and most importantly taking back the 2019 SAHOF State Championship Title! The Eagles knocked off Tampa Jesuit HS, East Lake HS and Douglas HS in the pool play rounds clinching the #1 seed and an automatic bid to the Championship game. The Eagles capped the weekend off with a 7-1 win over East Lake in the Championship game earning the title of 2019 State Champions! The boys also earned an invite to the 2019 US Hockey High School National Tournament in Cleveland, OH March 28th – April 1st. Let’s keep up the hard work boys and bring home Championship!! The NB Varsity Hockey Team is back on top! After falling short in last year’s tournament, the boys came out this year ready to earn the title back. The Team has worked hard the entire season battling each and every time they took the ice. The Eagles finished the league season off with an 18-2 record securing the #1 seed in the FPSHL Championship Tournament. The boys proved they deserved that spot defeating Cypress Bay 13-2 in the semifinals. The Eagles did not stop there…they took on Miami-Dade in a best of 3 Championship Series and only needed two games to earn the title. The team defeated Miami-Dade 7-4 in Game #1 and 12-3 in Game #2 to take back the 2019 FPSHL Championship Trophy! They are now preparing to take part in the 2019 State Tournament which will take place locally on February 22nd – 24th at the Panther Ice Den in Coral Springs. *Congratulations to Junior Basketball Player Dom Denny! *
Junior Boys Basketball player Dom Denny reached a large milestone on Tuesday, January 29th when he scored his 1000th career point for the Eagles! As you can see Dom has been a big part of the Eagles success this season leading the team in points per game, assists per game and steals per game. Congratulations to Dom and we look forward to seeing how many more points he can add to that 1000 as the Eagles head into post season play!
